Ben Folds Five was an American alternative rock band. They were active from 1993 to 2000, and then again from 2011. Even though their name had "Five" in it, the band actually had only three members!
The band's main members were Ben Folds, who played the piano and sang. Robert Sledge played the bass guitar, and Darren Jessee played the drums. They were known for their unique sound, often called "piano rock." Some of their most famous songs include "Brick" and "Underground."
