Architectural Style: Queen Anne
This house has three stories and is made of wood. It looks different from every angle, which is typical of the Queen Anne style. The outside of the house uses many different materials. You can see brick on the lower parts. There is also wooden paneling and fancy wooden shingles on the upper parts.
The house has many porches and gabled dormers. These are small roofed structures that stick out from the main roof. They make the house look very interesting. Most of these parts still have their original turned posts and railings. These details were very popular when the house was built. Inside, the house also has many beautiful original features.

Changes Over Time
Charles Benedict passed away in 1881. His family sold the house in 1889 to Charles Miller. Mr. Miller was a local merchant who sold dry goods.
