Professional Basketball Career
The Portland Trail Blazers chose Bernard Thompson in the 1984 NBA draft. He was the 19th player picked overall in the first round. Thompson played for a few NBA teams. These teams included the Blazers, the Phoenix Suns, and the Houston Rockets.
His best year in the NBA was during the 1985–86 season. He played for the Phoenix Suns that year. Thompson played in 61 games and scored an average of 8.5 points per game.
