Bershawn D. Jackson (born May 8, 1983) is an American track and field athlete. He is best known for competing in the 400 meter hurdles race. He also runs the 400 meter sprint. People sometimes call him "Batman"!

At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, Bershawn "Batman" Jackson won a bronze medal in the 400 meter hurdles. He has also won several medals at the World Championships. These include two gold medals and one bronze medal. He also earned a gold medal at the World Indoor Championships.

Bershawn Jackson's Running Journey

Bershawn Jackson first became well-known when he ran for Miami Central High School. There, he set an amazing record in the 300 meter hurdles in 2002. This record of 36.01 seconds still stands today for Florida high schools!

He then continued his running career in college at Saint Augustine's University. In 2004, he set another record. This time it was in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 48.50 seconds. This was a Division II National Championship Record.
