Bershawn D. Jackson (born May 8, 1983) is a famous American athlete. He is known for running in the 400-meter hurdles race. He also competes in the 400-meter sprint. People sometimes call him "Batman" because of his speed.
Bershawn Jackson has won many important medals. At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, he earned a bronze medal in the 400-meter hurdles. He also has three medals from the World Championships, including two gold medals. Plus, he won a gold medal at the World Indoor Championships.

Bershawn Jackson started showing his amazing talent in high school. He ran for Miami Central High School and set a record in the 300-meter hurdles in 2002. This record is still held today in Florida high school athletics.
After high school, he continued his running career in college. He attended Saint Augustine's University. In 2004, he set a new record in the 400-meter hurdles for his college division. This showed everyone he was a rising star in the sport.
