Beulah is a small place in Malheur County, Oregon, in the United States. It's called an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and buildings that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government.
Beulah is located along the North Fork Malheur River. It's also very close to Beulah Reservoir. This spot is about 15 miles (24 km) north of another place called Juntura.
How Beulah Got Its Name
Beulah was named after a girl named Beulah Arnold. She was the daughter of Thomas L. Arnold. Thomas Arnold was the very first postmaster for the community. A postmaster is the person in charge of a post office.
The post office in Beulah first opened in 1884. It helped people send and receive mail for many years. However, the post office eventually closed down in 1947.
