Biddles Corner is a place in New Castle County, Delaware, in the United States. It's known as a crossroads where important roads meet. This spot is where U.S. Route 13 and Port Penn Road cross paths. It's also near the Biddles Corner toll plaza on the Delaware Route 1 toll road, just south of the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal.

Biddles Corner has a rich history with many old buildings. These structures tell us about how people lived and worked long ago.
Early Days: The 1700s and 1800s

The Vandergrift-Biddle House is a very old home at Biddles Corner. Its construction started in the 1700s. The land, about 179 acres, was given to Leonard Vandegrift in 1708. This property became known as the Biddles Corner farm. The Vandergrift-Biddle House was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. This list includes places important to history.
The Retirement Barn is another important historical building. It was built in the Biddles Corner area between 1790 and 1810. This barn is special because it's the last known example of a certain style of English barn in southern New Castle County. This style was common in the 1700s. It was also listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
The Mondamon Farm Barrack was built in the early 1800s. It's the last known example of a mid-19th-century "earthfast hay barrack" in New Castle County. These open-sided structures were used to store hay. They were quite common in the 1700s and early 1800s. It was also added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
Later Years: From 1850 to Today
The Craven House, located near Biddles Corner, was built in the mid-1800s.
The Liston Range Rear Lighthouse is a tall lighthouse, standing about 120 feet high. It was built around 1876 or 1877. In 1906, it was moved closer to Biddles Corner. This lighthouse is Delaware's tallest. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
In 1884, a group called the Fort Penn Grange built a large hall in Biddles Corner. A "Grange" is a community organization for farmers. This hall had a special room for exhibitions. The Grange used the hall for many events, like shows with magicians and puppet acts.
The ChesDel Diner opened in St. Georges at Biddles Corner in 1979. It was a very popular local restaurant for many years. People called it a "Biddles Corner staple." The diner closed its doors in 2018.
The Biddles Corner toll plaza opened in 1999. This is a very busy toll booth on the highway. On holiday weekends, more than 360,000 vehicles have passed through it.
