Kids Encyclopedia Facts

Big Band Beat is a super cool jazz show at Tokyo Disney Sea! You can find it at the Broadway Music Theatre, which is in the American Waterfront area of the park. This exciting show happens several times a day, usually four to six times. Many Disney fans lovingly call it "BB" for short.

The Story of Big Band Beat

The show first opened on July 14, 2006. At the beginning, Big Band Beat was only planned for a short time. It was part of the celebrations for Tokyo Disney Sea's 5th anniversary. But guess what? People loved it so much that Disney decided to keep it going!

The show closed for a short time from March 19 to April 14 for an update. A brand new version started the very next day. This new version was also a special limited-time show. It celebrated the 15th anniversary of Tokyo Disney Sea.

Big Band Beat also has special versions for different seasons:

  • Christmas Fun: A special Christmas version was performed every Christmas season from 2006 to 2015.
  • New Year's Eve Countdown: A special Countdown version was held from December 31 to January 1, from 2006 to 2010.
  • New Year's Day: A New Year's version has been held every year from January 1 to January 5 since 2006.

How to Watch Big Band Beat

There are two main ways to enjoy Big Band Beat.

  • Waiting in Line: One way is to wait in a queue for a seat.
  • Winning the Lottery: The other way is to try your luck and win a lottery for a seat!

If you win the lottery, you don't have to wait in a long line. However, the very first show of the day does not have a lottery. So, if you want to see the first show, you will need to join the queue.

For the second show and all shows after that, if you wait in line, you can get a seat on the second floor. Only people who win the lottery get to sit on the first floor during these times.
