Bigfoot and Wildboy was an exciting live-action children's television series. It aired on the ABC network. The show first appeared in 1976. It was part of The Krofft Supershow on Saturday mornings.

At first, each episode was 15 minutes long. They often ended with a cliffhanger. This meant you had to watch next week to see what happened! In 1979, the show became its own series. These new episodes were 30 minutes long. In total, 28 episodes were made.

The series got many ideas from The Six Million Dollar Man. That show also had special Bigfoot episodes. Bigfoot and Wildboy used similar "bionic" sound effects. These sounds played when Bigfoot ran or jumped. They also used slow motion for big action scenes. This made it look super cool when Bigfoot threw something huge!
