Ned Romero (born December 4, 1926 – died November 4, 2017) was an American actor and opera singer. He was famous for appearing in many television shows and movies.

Early Life and Learning
Ned Romero was born on December 4, 1926, in Franklin, Louisiana. His parents were Anna and Sidney Romero. Ned had a mixed background. He was part Chitimacha Native American, and also had Spanish and French family roots. He went to Louisiana State University. There, he earned a master's degree in music.
Starting Out on Stage
Ned Romero began his career in 1943 as an opera singer. He performed in big shows with the San Francisco Opera and in Los Angeles. He also acted in popular musicals like Kiss Me, Kate, Kismet, and Oklahoma!. He even appeared on Broadway, which is the highest level of theater in New York City. His Broadway show was called 3 for Tonight in 1954.
Moving to TV and Movies
After performing on stage for twenty years, Ned Romero started working in television and movies. His very first TV appearance was an opera skit on CBS's The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis. In this skit, he sang a mix of famous opera songs.
Ned Romero became a regular actor on several TV shows. He played investigator Bob Ramirez on The D.A.. He was also Broken Foot on Born to the Wind and Sgt. John Rivera on Dan August.
