Binissalem (Catalan pronunciation: [binisəˈlɛm]) is a charming town in Majorca, one of the Balearic Islands in Spain. It is located in the Raiguer area of the island. Binissalem is famous for being the heart of Majorca's wine region, known as Binissalem DOP. A "DOP" means "Denomination of Origin Protected," which is a special label for food and drink products from a specific area.
