Blaise Ndala's Journey
Blaise Ndala was born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. In 2007, he moved to Canada. Today, he works as a lawyer in Ottawa. A lawyer is someone who helps people with legal problems.
His First Book
Ndala's first novel was called J'irai danser sur la tombe de Senghor. It was published in 2014. This book won the Ottawa Book Award for French fiction. It was also a finalist for the Trillium Award. These are important prizes for writers. Later, a movie director named Rachid Bouchareb became interested in making a film based on the novel. This means the book might become a movie!
