A Bit of History
Blanchard once had its very own post office. This post office served the community for many years, from 1894 until 1953. That's almost 60 years!
The name "Blanchard" was chosen to honor the first person who ran the post office. Her name was Rosie M. Blanchard. She was the first postmaster, which is the person in charge of a post office. In 1938, the post office even moved to a new spot within the community.
