Blips was a fun British TV show made for kids. It was a comedy series created by Ragdoll Productions. The show first aired on CITV in the UK on September 29, 2005. It starred Robin Stevens as the main character, Mr. Perfect. Patricia Routledge was the voice of the narrator. There were 26 episodes in total. The show is now quite hard to find. This is because it was never released on DVD or other home video. Because of this, many people consider the show to be lost. Blips mixed live-action acting with cool 3D animation. The animated characters were called 'Blips'. They were purple blobs that caused lots of mischief in every episode.

What is Blips About?

Each episode of Blips showed Mr. Perfect trying to do a job or task perfectly. These tasks could be anything, like serving ice cream or using exercise machines. Mr. Perfect would show everyone how to do it just right.

After he finished, the Blips would rewind the video. Then the narrator would say Mr. Perfect was amazing at the job. But then, the Blips would start their mischief! They would set traps or mess with machines. This made everything go wrong for Mr. Perfect. In the end, Mr. Perfect would usually give up on the task. The show would then go to the credits. During the credits, you would see Mr. Perfect relaxing with a cup of tea.

Meet the Characters

Mr. Perfect

Mr. Perfect was played by Robin Stevens. He was a very positive and a bit silly character. He didn't speak, but he used his body language to show what he was thinking. His clothes changed in each episode to fit the job he was doing. But he often wore thick glasses, neat hair, and a bright blue suit. Not much else is known about him. He lived in a white house where the Blips also lived.

The Blips

The Blips were purple, alien-like creatures. They could change their size and shape. They lived in Mr. Perfect’s house. A funny part of the show was that Mr. Perfect often suspected the Blips were causing trouble. He would notice the strange things happening around him. But he never actually saw or met them!

When Blips Was Shown

The very first episode of Blips was shown on CITV in 2005. The show had reruns, meaning it was shown again, until 2009.

Why Episodes Are Hard to Find

Like many other shows from CITV, most of the Blips episodes are now missing. We don't know where they are. Only a few pictures from the episodes and an old website from Ragdoll are still around. The show was not as popular as some of Ragdoll's other creations. Also, it was never released on DVD. These reasons likely explain why the episodes are so hard to find today.
