Blue Ridge is a small city in Collin County, Texas, United States. It is located where Texas State Highway 78, Farm to Market Road 981, and Farm to Market Road 545 meet. In 2020, about 1,180 people lived there.

History of Blue Ridge
Blue Ridge got its name from the pretty blue flowers. Early settlers saw these flowers growing on the hills around the area.
Oil Pipeline Incident in 2017
On January 30, 2017, an oil spill happened near Blue Ridge. About 600,000 gallons of oil leaked from the Seaway Pipeline.

Blue Ridge is also home to Parkhill Prairie. This is a large nature preserve covering 436 acres. It protects a special type of grassland called Blackland tall-grass prairie. You can find it off Collin County road 668.
