Blue Zoo is an exciting Australian TV show for kids that first aired in 2014. It's a reality series where eight teenagers get a special chance to work with amazing marine animals. For six weeks, these "rookies" learn all about caring for sea creatures at Dolphin Marine Magic in Coffs Harbour. Their goal is to become real marine experts! The show was broadcast on ABC3 in Australia and TRTÉ in Ireland.
Making the Show
To find the perfect "rookies" for Blue Zoo, over 500 teenagers tried out! These hopefuls came from both Australia and Ireland. The show was filmed at the Dolphin Marine Magic marine park in Coffs Harbour. Filming took place from October to November in 2013. The first episode of Blue Zoo was shown in Australia on ABC3 in 2014.
