A Look Back in Time
Bluff City was started around 1879. It got its name from Bluff Creek, a stream that flows right by the community.
Long ago, Bluff City was an important stop. It was a station and shipping point for the Kansas Southwestern Railway. This meant goods and people could be moved in and out of the area by train.
