Boardman is a small place in St. Croix County, Wisconsin. It's called an unincorporated community, which means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a city or town with its own local government. How Boardman Got Its Name
Boardman got its name way back in 1853. It was named after a person named C. A. Boardman, who was one of the very first people to settle and live in this area.
The Boardman Post Office
A post office was opened in Boardman in 1862. This was an important place for people to send and receive letters and packages. The post office served the community for many years, but it eventually closed down in 1954.
