Boatin Island (which is ostrov Boatin in Bulgarian) is a small, rocky island. It is located off the northwest coast of Robert Island in the South Shetland Islands. The island is about 740 meters (2,428 feet) long from north to south and 150 meters (492 feet) wide.

To the north, Boatin Island ends in a T-shaped tip called Hammer Point. This tip is about 250 meters (820 feet) wide. To the south, the island is connected to Robert Island by a narrow strip of land. This land bridge is about 250 meters (820 feet) long. It is made of rocks and dirt left behind by a glacier. This type of land bridge is called a tombolo.

Boatin Island appeared as Robert Island's ice cap melted and moved back. This happened in the early 2000s. People who hunted seals visited this area in the early 1800s.
