Bob Lynch (born 18 March 1935 – died 2 October 1982) was a talented Irish folk musician from Dublin. He became well-known as a member of the famous band The Dubliners from 1964 to 1965. After that, he decided to start his own music career in North America.

Bob Lynch's Musical Journey
Joining The Dubliners
In 1964, Bob Lynch joined The Dubliners. He joined with another musician named John Sheahan. They met Ronnie Drew, who was the main singer of the band. Soon after, Luke Kelly, another member, left the group for about a year to work in England. This meant Bob and John became full-time members.
Bob was a very important part of the band. He played the acoustic guitar and sang many songs. He was also with The Dubliners when they filmed a special show called O'Donoghue's Opera.
Recording and Solo Career
Bob Lynch recorded only one album with The Dubliners. It was called In Concert and came out in 1964. He left the band in 1965 when Luke Kelly returned.
After leaving The Dubliners, Bob started his own solo music career. He moved to North America and found success there. He even wrote two songs that became popular on the music charts in the United States! In 1980, he released his own solo album. It was titled From The Land of Carolan.
