Bobby Gunn (born Robert Williamson on December 25, 1973) is a Canadian former professional boxer. He was also a bare-knuckle boxer. He competed in boxing from 1989 to 2017. Bobby Gunn challenged for a world title twice in the cruiserweight division.

Bobby Gunn's Boxing Journey
Bobby Gunn was born in Ontario, Canada. His family came from an Irish Traveller background in the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom.
Early Boxing Days
Bobby Gunn became well-known in Canada as an amateur boxer. He had a very successful amateur career that lasted for seven years.
He started his professional boxing career on April 28, 1989, in Tucson, Arizona. He won his first fight by a unanimous decision against Richard Palmer. In his third professional fight, Gunn stopped future champion Quirino Garcia in the third round. He continued to win many of his early fights.
Taking a Break and Coming Back
After a strong start, Bobby Gunn took an 11-year break from professional boxing. During this time, he competed in more than 60 bare-knuckle fights.
He returned to professional boxing in 2004. He won his first four comeback fights by knockout. In 2017, he fought against the famous boxer Roy Jones Jr., but the fight was stopped in the eighth round.
Challenging for Titles
After his return, Gunn had a great run, staying unbeaten for six fights. He won three different titles during this time. On July 11, 2009, he faced Tomasz Adamek, who was a champion. Even though many people thought Adamek would win easily, Gunn fought bravely. The fight was stopped after the fourth round because the ringside doctor felt Gunn had taken too many punches.
Bare-Knuckle Boxing Career
Bobby Gunn is also famous for his bare-knuckle boxing. He has an impressive record of 73 wins and no losses in bare-knuckle boxing.
Return to Bare-Knuckle Fighting
On August 5, 2011, Bobby Gunn fought Richard Stewart in a bare-knuckle boxing match. This was the first official bare-knuckle fight in the United States since 1999. Gunn won by knockout in the third round, earning the vacant heavyweight bare-knuckle boxing title. Four months later, he successfully defended his title.
