Bobby Miguel Price, born on April 25, 1998, is an American professional football player. He plays as a cornerback for the Washington Commanders in the National Football League (NFL). Bobby played college football at Norfolk State. He first joined the Detroit Lions in 2020. Price has also played for the Arizona Cardinals.

Bobby Price's College Football Journey

Bobby Price was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia. His family has Puerto Rican roots. He played college football for the Norfolk State Spartans.

Freshman and Sophomore Seasons

During his first year, called his freshman season, Bobby played in nine games. He started four of those games as a free safety. In his second year, his sophomore season, he started all 11 games. He was fourth on his team with 69 tackles. This also placed him among the top players in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC).

Junior and Senior Seasons

In his junior year, Bobby started 10 games. He made 59 tackles and had 2.5 tackles-for-loss. He also caught two interceptions and knocked down eight passes. He recovered two fumbles, which means he got the ball back for his team. He was recognized for his great play and earned All-MEAC third-team honors.

Bobby also showed his athletic skills in track and field. He placed fourth in the long jump at the MEAC indoor championships. Later, he won the MEAC outdoor long jump championship. His best jump was an amazing 25 feet, 10.25 inches!

In his senior year, Bobby started all 12 games as a strong safety. He finished with 73 tackles. He also broke up eight passes and recovered two fumbles. He even returned one interception 84 yards for a touchdown! He was again honored for his performance, earning All-MEAC second-team honors. Bobby finished his college career with 229 tackles, seven interceptions, and 23 pass breakups.

Bobby Price's Professional Football Career

Bobby Price began his professional football journey in 2020. He was not chosen in the NFL Draft but signed with a team as an undrafted free agent.

Playing for the Detroit Lions

Bobby Price joined the Detroit Lions on May 1, 2020. He was initially waived by the team but then signed to their practice squad. A practice squad is where players train with the team but are not on the main roster.

He was called up to the main team for games in December 2020. In January 2021, Bobby was officially promoted to the Lions' active roster. He played for the Lions until October 2022, when he was placed on injured reserve.

Time with the Arizona Cardinals

On June 5, 2023, Bobby Price signed with the Arizona Cardinals. He was waived by the team in August 2023 but later re-signed to their practice squad. In October 2023, he was moved to the Cardinals' active roster.

He was placed on injured reserve again in November 2023. However, he was activated and able to play again by December 2023. In August 2024, the Cardinals waived him as they finalized their team roster for the new season.

Joining the Washington Commanders

On August 28, 2024, Bobby Price signed with the Washington Commanders' practice squad. He continued to work hard and re-signed with the team on February 10, 2025. He is currently an active player for the Commanders.
