Bobby Simpson, born on November 17, 1956, is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He played as a forward in the National Hockey League (NHL) for several teams. These teams included the Atlanta Flames, Pittsburgh Penguins, and St. Louis Blues. He played 175 games in the NHL during his career.
Early Life and Youth Hockey
Bobby Simpson was born in Caughnawaga, Quebec, Canada. When he was young, he loved playing hockey. He even played in big tournaments like the Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament. He took part in this famous tournament in both 1968 and 1969. He played with a minor ice hockey team from his hometown.
Professional Hockey Career
Simpson played three years of junior hockey in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). He played for a team called the Sherbrooke Castors. After his time in junior hockey, he became a professional player for ten years.
In 1976, Bobby Simpson was chosen in two different hockey drafts. He was picked fourth overall in the World Hockey Association (WHA) draft. However, he decided to play in the NHL instead. In the NHL draft, he was the twenty-eighth player chosen by the Atlanta Flames.
During his three years playing in the QMJHL, Simpson scored a lot of points, totaling 245. He also scored 64 points during his time playing in the NHL.

Bobby Simpson is a full-blood Native American. He is a member of the Mohawk band from Kahnawake, which is a community near Caughnawaga, Quebec.
