Boglárka Csemer (born on November 30, 1986, in Budapest, Hungary), known as Boggie, is a Hungarian singer and songwriter. She became famous around the world for her 2014 song "Nouveau Parfum". This song was from her first album, Boggie, released in 2013. "Nouveau Parfum" reached number one on Hungary's music charts. It also did well on two Billboard charts in the US. It reached number three on the Jazz Album Chart and number 17 on the World Music Album Chart. Boggie represented Hungary in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. Her song was called "Wars for Nothing". On May 19, 2015, her song made it to the final of the contest. The final was held on May 23, 2015, in Vienna, Austria.

Boggie's Music Journey

The Boggie Album and "Nouveau Parfum"

Boggie became very well-known in early 2014. This happened after she released the music video for her first song, "Nouveau Parfum". This song title means "New Perfume" in French. News channels and websites in many countries, including the UK and the United States, shared the video.

The video shows Boggie singing while her image is changed a lot. This is called photo manipulation or retouching. The song "Nouveau Parfum" is a French version of her Hungarian song "Parfüm". Both songs are from her first album, Boggie, which came out in 2013.

The video for "Nouveau Parfum" has a strong message. It is similar to a popular video called Body Evolution. Both videos show how much images can be changed. By the end of Boggie's video, she looks very different from how she started. A quick side-by-side view shows how much her appearance was altered.

In "Nouveau Parfum", Boggie lists many perfume brands. She asks which one she should choose. Then she questions why she has to choose at all. She sings, "Je ne suis pas leur produit / De beauté, d’préciosité / Ils ne peuvent pas me changer" (which means "I am not their product / Of beauty, of preciousness / They cannot change me"). This part of the song shows her message about being yourself.

The Hungarian version, "Parfüm", is a bit different. It does not list perfume names. Instead, it talks about being free from things that are not natural or real. The lyrics say, "Now I'm throwing all of them out / I'm casting my distorted mirror away / My coat opens into wings / Breathe freely" (translated from Hungarian). This version encourages listeners to be free and true to themselves.

Because "Parfüm" and "Nouveau Parfum" were so popular, Boggie also recorded a third version. This one was in English and was simply called "Perfume".

Representing Hungary at Eurovision

Boggie was chosen to represent Hungary in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. She sang the song "Wars for Nothing". On May 19, 2015, she successfully made it through to the grand final. The final competition took place on May 23, 2015, in Vienna, Austria. Boggie finished in twentieth place in the contest, earning 19 points.
