Boles is found in the northern part of Franklin County, Missouri. It sits on higher ground, looking over the flat area near the Missouri River. This community is about six miles east of the city of Washington. Another nearby place, Labadie, is just 1.5 miles to the east of Boles.

History of Boles

The community of Boles had a post office that opened in 1864. A post office is a place where people can send and receive mail. This post office served the people living in Boles for many years. However, it closed down in 1939. It is believed that the community of Boles was named after Boles Township, which is a larger area nearby.
