Bonnie Bartlett Daniels (born June 20, 1929) is an American actress who is now retired. She acted for about 70 years. Her first big role was in a TV show called Love of Life in the 1950s.
Bonnie Bartlett is well-known for playing Grace Snider Edwards on the TV series Little House on the Prairie. She also played Ellen Craig on the medical drama St. Elsewhere. Her husband, actor William Daniels, played her husband on St. Elsewhere. They both won Emmy Awards on the same night in 1986. This made them the first married couple to do this since 1965!

Early Life and School
Bonnie Bartlett was born in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. She grew up in Moline, Illinois. Her dad used to be an actor, but he stopped acting when her mom wanted to live in Wisconsin.
She finished high school at Moline High School in 1947.
Acting Career
Bonnie Bartlett started her TV career on the soap opera Love of Life. She played Vanessa Dale Raven from 1955 to 1959. After that, she started acting in evening TV shows in the 1960s.
She played Grace Snider Edwards on Little House on the Prairie from 1974 to 1977. Her character became more important when she married Isaiah Edwards, played by Victor French.
Later, she played Ellen Craig on St. Elsewhere. Her role grew bigger in 1984 when the story showed Ellen and Mark's marriage problems. The show explored more difficult topics, like their divorce and getting back together. Bonnie Bartlett won two Emmy Awards in a row for her role as Ellen Craig.
For many years, Bonnie Bartlett mostly had small guest roles on shows like The Golden Girls and The Waltons. Her acting career became very busy in the 1980s. She was in TV mini-series like V. She also played the mother of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito's characters in the 1988 movie Twins.
In 1986, Bonnie Bartlett and her husband, William Daniels, made history at the Emmy Awards. They were the second real-life married couple to win acting awards on the same night. They won for their roles as Dr. Mark and Mrs. Ellen Craig on St. Elsewhere. They acted together again on the show Boy Meets World. She played a college dean who hired her husband's character, and their characters later got married.
After St. Elsewhere ended in 1988, Bonnie Bartlett continued to have many guest roles. She played important characters on shows like Home Improvement, where she was Tim Taylor's mom. She also appeared on ER.

They adopted two sons: Michael and Robert. Michael works as an assistant director, and Robert is an artist and computer graphics designer.
