Rejean "Boogie" Ellis (born December 12, 2000) is an American professional basketball player. He plays for the Stockton Kings in the NBA G League. Before becoming a professional, he played college basketball for the Memphis Tigers and the USC Trojans.

High School Basketball Journey

Boogie Ellis grew up in San Diego, California. He attended Mission Bay High School for all four years. During his time there, he became a very talented basketball player.

Becoming a Top Recruit

Many colleges wanted Boogie to play for their basketball teams. Experts called him a "four-star recruit." This means he was one of the best young players in the country. In November 2018, he first decided to play for Duke University.

However, Boogie later changed his mind. He wanted to be the main point guard on the team. When another player, Tre Jones, decided to return to Duke, Boogie looked for a new school. In May 2019, he chose to play for the University of Memphis.

College Basketball Career

Boogie Ellis started his college career at the University of Memphis. In one game, he scored 21 points against NC State. This earned him the "American Athletic Conference freshman of the week" award.

During his freshman year, he averaged eight points per game. In November 2020, he scored a career-high 24 points against Saint Mary's. In March 2021, Boogie decided to transfer to another school. He chose to play for the University of Southern California (USC).

At USC, Boogie continued to play well. He was named "Honorable Mention All-Pac-12" as a junior. This means he was recognized as one of the top players in his conference. In 2023, he was named to the First-team All-Pac-12, and in 2024, he made the Second-team All-Pac-12.

Professional Basketball Start

After his college career, Boogie Ellis was not chosen in the 2024 NBA draft. This means he was "undrafted." However, he still got a chance to play. He joined the Sacramento Kings for the 2024 NBA Summer League.

In September 2024, he signed a contract with the Sacramento Kings. But he was later waived, meaning the team released him. In October, he joined the Stockton Kings. This team plays in the NBA G League, which is like a development league for the NBA.
