From Basketball to Handball
Borja played professional basketball in Spain for several years. He played for different teams from 1999 to 2005. Some of these teams included Joventut Badalona and Bilbao Basket. He even played in Italy for S.S. Basket Napoli.
In 2005, Borja made a big decision. He decided to stop playing basketball. Instead, he started a new career in handball.
Playing for Qatar
Borja Vidal became a very important player for the Qatari national team. In 2013, he became a Qatari citizen. This allowed him to play for their national team.
He helped Qatar achieve great success. The team won a silver medal at the 2015 World Men's Handball Championship. This was a huge achievement for Qatar. Borja also represented Qatar at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
