The Borkou region is a region of Chad. Its capital is Faya-Largeau. It was was created in 2008 from the Borkou department of the former Borkou-Ennedi-Tibesti region.
Borkou is in the Sahara Desert. It has parts of the Tibesti Mountains in its north. The highest point in Chad, Emi Koussi, is in Borkou.
The region is divided into 2 departments - Borkou (capital Faya-Largeau) and Borkou Yala (capital Kirdimi).
