Boulogne Sur Mer is a town in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. It is part of the Greater Buenos Aires area. This means it is a town within a very large city region. Boulogne Sur Mer is about 26 kilometers (16 miles) north of the main city of Buenos Aires.
In 2001, about 89,046 people lived here. The town got its name from a city in northern France called Boulogne-sur-Mer. A very important Argentine general, José de San Martín, died in that French city in 1850.
