Bourkelands is a growing suburb located in the southern part of Wagga Wagga, a city in New South Wales, Australia. It gets its name from an old property that used to be in this area.
This suburb is known for its many new homes. You'll find lots of display homes here, which are houses built to show people what they can buy. It's also a popular place for military families to live, especially those working at the nearby RAAF Base Wagga and the Army Recruit Training Centre.

Bourkelands is a convenient place to live. It's close to Red Hill Road, which is a main road. You can easily walk to the Tolland shopping centre from here. There are also two fun play parks where kids can enjoy themselves.

A large church belonging to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was built in Bourkelands in 2005. This adds to the community feel of the suburb.
You might hear real estate agents talk about an area called "Hilltop" within Bourkelands. Even though it's often mentioned, "Hilltop" isn't an official name for a specific part of the suburb. It's just a way to describe a certain section.
A Bit of History
Bourkelands was developed quite a while ago. The main construction of the suburb was finished on October 16, 1943. Many of the streets in Bourkelands are named after important old farms or "pastoral homesteads" from the region. This gives the suburb a connection to the local history.
