Brad Peyton is a Canadian filmmaker, born on May 27, 1978. He is famous for directing exciting movies, especially those starring Dwayne Johnson. Some of his well-known films include Journey 2: The Mysterious Island (2012), San Andreas (2015), and Rampage (2018). He also worked on the Netflix show Daybreak (2019).

Brad Peyton's Journey in Film
Brad Peyton grew up in Gander, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. He studied filmmaking at the Canadian Film Centre. His career began with a short, funny film called Evelyn: The Cutest Evil Dead Girl (2002). This film was a big hit with his classmates. It even got shown at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2002. This helped him get noticed in the film world.
Early Projects and TV Shows
After Evelyn, Brad Peyton created a unique TV show called What It's Like Being Alone. This show used claymation, which is a type of stop-motion animation. The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation picked it up for one season in 2006. It's said that famous US actor Tom Hanks was one of Brad's mentors.
Directing Big Movies
In 2010, Brad Peyton directed Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore. Then, in 2012, he directed Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. This movie was a sequel to Journey to the Center of the Earth. It starred Dwayne Johnson and made a lot of money worldwide.
Brad and Dwayne Johnson worked together again on the disaster film San Andreas in 2015. Brad also directed the horror film Incarnate that same year.
Their third movie together was Rampage in 2018. This film was based on a popular video game. Brad Peyton has also been involved in other exciting projects. He directed and produced the Netflix series Daybreak. This show is a post-apocalyptic comedy that came out in 2019.
