Career history

Bradley Sylve is an American former professional football player. He was born on January 29, 1993. Bradley played as a cornerback, a defensive position in football. He played college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide team. After college, he joined the Buffalo Bills in 2017.

College Football Journey

Bradley Sylve played for the University of Alabama's football team, the Crimson Tide, from 2011 to 2015. During his time there, he mostly played as a backup player. He made 40 tackles, which means he stopped the opposing team's ball carrier 40 times. He also had 7 pass breakups, meaning he knocked down or deflected 7 passes thrown by the other team.

In 2013, he started 3 games, and in 2014, he started one game. He was recognized as one of Alabama's top special teams players. With the Crimson Tide, Bradley helped his team win two national championships. These were the BCS National Championship Games in 2011 and 2012.

Unfortunately, in 2016, the day before a special tryout for professional teams, Bradley suffered a serious injury. He tore his Achilles tendon, which is a strong cord at the back of your ankle.

Playing Professional Football

Buffalo Bills

On April 7, 2017, Bradley Sylve signed with the Buffalo Bills. This was his first professional team. However, he was released by the team on September 1, 2017.

New Orleans Saints

Bradley then joined the New Orleans Saints' practice squad on September 20, 2017. A practice squad is a group of players who practice with the team but are not on the main roster. They can be called up to play if needed. He was released from the practice squad on October 10. Later, on January 5, 2018, the Saints signed him again to a special contract. He was released by the Saints on May 14, 2018.

Birmingham Iron

In 2019, Bradley Sylve joined the Birmingham Iron team. This team was part of a new league called the Alliance of American Football. He played in 8 games for the Iron. During his time there, he made 30 tackles and caught two interceptions. An interception is when a defensive player catches a pass thrown by the opposing team's quarterback. He intercepted passes from Mike Bercovici and Matt Simms. The Alliance of American Football league stopped playing on April 2, 2019.

DC Defenders

Bradley was chosen by the DC Defenders in the 2020 2020 XFL Draft. The XFL was another new football league. In his very first game with the Defenders, Bradley made history. He intercepted a pass from Brandon Silvers and ran it all the way back for a touchdown. This was the first defensive touchdown ever scored in the XFL. The Defenders won that game against the Seattle Dragons with a score of 31–19.

Los Angeles Wildcats

On February 14, 2020, Bradley Sylve was traded to the Los Angeles Wildcats. He was traded in exchange for another player named Anthony Johnson. His contract with the Wildcats ended when the XFL league stopped playing on April 10, 2020.

Philadelphia Stars

In 2022, Bradley was picked by the Philadelphia Stars in the 2022 USFL draft. The USFL was another professional football league. Before the season started, he hurt his ankle. Because of his injury, he was moved to the team's practice squad on April 16, 2022. He remained on the inactive roster, meaning he couldn't play, on April 22, 2022.

He was moved to the active roster, meaning he could play, on May 5. However, he was transferred back to the inactive roster on May 14. On February 23, 2023, Bradley Sylve was released by the Stars.
