Brady Grey (born July 20, 1995) is an Australian rules footballer. He played for the Fremantle Football Club in the top-level Australian Football League (AFL). He also played for other teams in the West Australian Football League (WAFL). Brady has also moved into coaching roles.
Brady Grey's Football Journey
Starting His Career
Brady Grey was chosen in the 2013 AFL draft. He was the 58th player picked overall. Before this, he played for the Burnie Dockers Football Club in Tasmania. After being drafted, he joined Peel Thunder. This team is Fremantle's reserve team in the WAFL. In 2014, he played for Peel Thunder. However, he had a back injury in July.
Playing for Fremantle
Brady continued playing for Peel Thunder in 2015. He made his first AFL game for Fremantle in the last round of the 2015 season. Fremantle sent a different team to play against Port Adelaide. Twelve players were changed for that game. Brady was one of four players who played their first AFL game that day.
He was not kept on the team at the end of the 2016 season. But Fremantle picked him again in the 2017 rookie draft. In 2017, he played 14 games for Fremantle. He played four more games in 2018. After the 2018 season, he left the team again.
Life After AFL
In 2019, Brady joined the West Coast Eagles's reserve team in the WAFL. In 2020, the team stopped playing due to health rules. Brady then moved to play for Perth.
In February 2022, Brady joined the Hawthorn Football Club. He became their Indigenous Player Development Manager. He also helped coach their new women's AFLW team. Later that year, he returned to the Fremantle Football Club in Perth. He became a midfield and development coach. In 2023, he also joined Peel Thunder, Fremantle's WAFL team. Brady was one of the best players when Peel won the 2024 WAFL Grand Final. They beat the East Perth Royals.
