A Night of Heroism: November 14, 1940

On the night of November 14-15, 1940, Coventry faced a huge air raid. German planes, called the Luftwaffe, dropped many bombs. This event is known as the Coventry Blitz.

During this dangerous night, Brandon Moss led two rescue missions. Houses had been destroyed by powerful bombs. He worked for seven hours, digging through the rubble.

He managed to free three people trapped in one house. In another house, he rescued one more person. He also helped recover four bodies from the wreckage.

The situation was very dangerous. A gas pipe had broken, and more air raids were happening. There was even a bomb nearby that could explode at any moment. Despite these dangers, Brandon Moss kept working to help others. His actions showed incredible bravery and a complete disregard for his own safety.
