Breaks Interstate Park is a special park found in both Kentucky and Virginia. It is located where these two states meet. This park is unique because it is managed by both states together. It is not run by just one state's park system. This makes it one of only two parks in the United States managed this way.

Many people call the Breaks the "Grand Canyon of the South". This is because of its huge canyon. The Russell Fork river flows through this amazing canyon. You can reach the park by driving on Highway 80. This road connects Haysi, Virginia, and Elkhorn City, Kentucky. The park is near the small town of Breaks, Virginia.

A famous explorer named Daniel Boone was the first European to see this area. He discovered the Breaks way back in 1767.
