Carl Brett Walker (born November 14, 1961 – died July 8, 2013) was an American songwriter, musician, and record producer. He was very talented in music.

Life and career
Brett Walker was born in Norman, Oklahoma, in the United States. When he was 21, he moved to Los Angeles, California. There, he worked as a songwriter. He worked with many other artists and songwriters. These included Jimi Jamison from the band Survivor, Nick Gilder, and Jonathan Cain from Journey.
In 1991, Brett Walker helped write a song called "Waiting for Love". The band Alias released this song. It became a top-10 hit around the world. The Alias album sold millions of copies. "Waiting for Love" also won an award from BMI. This award was for being played a lot on the radio.
Walker released his first solo album, Nevertheless, in 1994. This started his career as a solo artist in Europe. Some songs on the album were produced by David Prater. Brett Walker produced the rest himself or with Jonathan Cain. The album was released in Europe and Japan. It reached the top-40 sales charts in Scandinavia. Nevertheless was re-released in 2012.
Brett Walker's last album was Straight Jacket Vacation. He produced it with Weston Hodges. It was released in August 2013.
Brett Walker passed away at his home in Draper, Utah, on July 8, 2013. He was 51 years old.
