Brian Crosby was born in Ireland on June 12, 1973. He is an Irish composer, producer, and musician. He mostly creates music for movies and TV shows. Brian can play many instruments, including guitar and keyboards.

Brian Crosby's Music Career

Brian Crosby helped start the Irish band Juniper. He was in this band with Damien Rice. Later, he helped form another band called Bell X1. He played with Paul Noonan, Dominic Phillips, and David Geraghty in Bell X1. They recorded four albums and traveled all over the world playing music between 1996 and 2008.

In 2006, Brian came up with the idea for a special music project called The Cake Sale. He organized and produced it. This project brought together many well-known Irish musicians. Some of these included Glen Hansard, Gary Lightbody from Snow Patrol, Lisa Hannigan, and Damien Rice. Other famous artists like Nina Persson from The Cardigans also joined.

The album sold a huge number of copies in Ireland. It was then released worldwide. One of its songs, 'Some Surprise,' was even featured in the TV show Grey's Anatomy. All the money made from The Cake Sale album goes to the charity Oxfam. So far, The Cake Sale has raised over €300,000 for charity.

Today, Brian Crosby mostly focuses on creating music for films. He is known for making beautiful and memorable music for movies, documentaries, and art shows. He has also composed music for many international commercials. Brian is the founder of Caravan Music. This company creates custom-made music for some of the world's biggest brands.

Brian was a key person working on Starboard Home. This was part of a special program in Ireland in 2016. He studied at Trinity College Dublin. Since 2009, he has been on the leadership team of the Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO). He is also the leader of a new group called the Screen Composers Guild of Ireland.
