Brian Head is a small town in Iron County, Utah, United States. In 2010, about 83 people lived there. This was a bit less than the 118 people who lived there in 2000.
Brian Head is also famous for the Brian Head Ski Resort. It's a popular place for skiing and snowboarding!

History of Brian Head
The community was first called "Monument Peak." After 1900, its name changed to Brian Head. This was likely because of the nearby Brian Head mountain in Dixie National Forest.
In 1964, the Brian Head Resort opened. This brought many visitors to the area. There are plans to build more homes and businesses in an area called Aspen Meadows. This could make the town twice as big!
Geography and Location
Brian Head is a small town covering about 3.1 square miles (8.0 square kilometers) of land.
It is located very high up, at about 9,800 feet (2,987 meters) above sea level. This makes it the highest town in Utah! You can find it on State Route 143, just east of Interstate 15. Brian Head is also only about three miles north of the beautiful Cedar Breaks National Monument.

Climate and Weather
Brian Head has a very snowy and cold climate. It gets a lot of snow every year, about 356 inches (9 meters) on average! That's more than 29 feet of snow! It's one of the snowiest places where people live in the United States. Sometimes, snow can still be on the ground in June.
Winter temperatures are very cold. It often stays below freezing, and temperatures can drop below 0°F (–18°C) many times each winter. The heaviest snow usually falls until May.
In summer, the weather starts to warm up. July and August often have thunderstorms. As fall arrives, temperatures quickly drop, and snow starts to cover the ground again.
