Brian Eugene Howard (born October 19, 1967) is an American former professional basketball player. He was a tall player, standing 6 feet 6 inches (198 cm) and weighing 204 pounds (93 kg). Brian played the small forward position. He went to North Carolina State University for college.
Howard played for the NBA's Dallas Mavericks for a short time. This was between 1992 and 1993. In 95 games with the Mavericks, he scored about 6 points and grabbed almost 3 rebounds per game. He also played basketball in other countries. These included Turkey for a team called Efes Pilsen and in France for ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne.

Early Career and College
Brian Howard was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He grew up loving basketball. He played for North Forsyth High School. After high school, he went to North Carolina State University. He played college basketball there from 1986 to 1990.
Playing Professionally
After college, Brian started his professional basketball career. He first played in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA). The CBA was a league where players could show their skills. Many players hoped to join the NBA from there.
Time in the CBA
Brian played for the Omaha Racers in the CBA. He was with them from 1990 to 1992. In 1991, he was chosen for the CBA All-Rookie Team. This means he was one of the best new players in the league that year. He also played for the Sioux Falls Skyforce during the 1994–95 season.
