Brian "Cobi" Span (born February 23, 1992) is an American soccer player who used to play professionally. He last played for a Swedish team called Haninge.

Brian Span's Soccer Journey
Brian started playing soccer when he was 12 years old. He played for a youth team called FC Westchester for seven years. After that, he played college soccer for two years at the University of Virginia. He scored 12 goals and helped set up 8 others during his time there.
In 2011, Brian trained with teams in Europe. He trained with a German club called TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and a Swedish club named Örebro SK. After his second year of college, Brian felt ready to become a professional player. He signed a two-year contract with Djurgårdens IF in Sweden's top league, Allsvenskan.
Playing for Djurgårdens IF
Brian made his first professional appearance on May 20, 2012. He came into the game in the 65th minute. Just three days later, he scored his first professional goal. This goal helped his team tie the game 1–1 against Helsingborgs IF. Brian's contract with Djurgårdens IF ended after the 2013 season.
Time with FC Dallas
On January 8, 2014, Brian signed a contract to play in Major League Soccer (MLS). He joined the team FC Dallas on January 9.
Brian was released by FC Dallas on February 5, 2015.
Loan to Orlando City
While with FC Dallas, Brian was loaned to USL Pro club Orlando City. This happened on April 2, 2014.
International Soccer
Brian was part of the U17 national team program in Bradenton, Florida. This program helps young players develop their skills.
In 2020, Brian shared that he wanted to play for the Costa Rica national team. His family on his mother's side is from Costa Rica. They are even related to a famous Costa Rican soccer player, Juan Cayasso.
