Exploring Brisbane Ranges National Park
The park is a great place for outdoor adventures! It has many walking tracks for you to explore.
Popular Walking Tracks
The walk through Anakie Gorge is one of the most popular paths. It's fairly flat, so it's good for most people. You can enjoy amazing views of the gorge as you walk. Other fun trails include the Ted Errey Nature Circuit and the Wadawurrung walk.
Wildlife You Might See
Keep your eyes open for amazing Australian animals! You might spot koalas resting in the trees. You can also see wallabies hopping around freely. Some wallabies are quite used to people and might even watch you as you pass by.
Bushfires in the Park
Sometimes, nature can be powerful. In January 2006, a bushfire started in the park because of lightning. It spread across a large part of the Brisbane Ranges. Firefighters from different groups worked hard to control it. The fire burned about 6,700 hectares (16,556 acres) of parkland. Luckily, no human lives were lost. Another bushfire also happened about a year later.
