The Brisson River (called Rivière Brisson in French) is a river in Quebec, Canada. It flows into the Rimouski River. The river is located in the area of La Trinité-des-Monts. This area is part of the Rimouski-Neigette Regional County Municipality in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region.
The Brisson River starts high up on Mont Longue-Vue. It flows down through a valley. Then it reaches a flatter area. Finally, it joins the Rimouski River. The Rimouski River then travels north. It eventually empties into the big St. Lawrence River near the city of Rimouski.

Where Does the Brisson River Flow?
The Brisson River begins as a mountain stream. Its source is on the northern side of "Mont Longue-vue". This mountain is in the Zec du Bas-Saint-Laurent area. The river starts in the northeast part of La Trinité-des-Monts.
The river's starting point is about 29.4 km (18.3 mi) southeast of the St. Lawrence River coast. It is also about 11.3 km (7.0 mi) southeast of the village of Saint-Narcisse-de-Rimouski.
How Long is the Brisson River?
The Brisson River is about 8.4 km (5.2 mi) long. It flows mostly southwest. Along its path, it meets other smaller streams.
- First, it flows for about 4.9 km (3.0 mi) southwest. Here, it meets a stream called Coulée Laurent.
- Then, it continues for about 3.0 km (1.9 mi) southwest. It then joins the "Grand Matinal stream".
- Finally, it flows about 0.5 km (0.31 mi) northwest. This is where it leaves the Zec du Bas-Saint-Laurent area.
Where the Brisson River Ends
The Brisson River flows into the Rimouski River. This meeting point is in La Trinité-des-Monts. It joins the Rimouski River on its east side.
This spot is about 5.5 km (3.4 mi) downstream from a bend in the Rimouski River. It is also about 1.1 km (0.68 mi) upstream from the Red Bridge. The river's end is about 34.4 km (21.4 mi) southeast of the St. Lawrence River. It is also about 4.5 km (2.8 mi) northeast of the village center of La Trinité-des-Monts.

The name "Brisson" is a family name. It comes from France. The name "Rivière Brisson" was officially recognized on December 5, 1968. This was done by the Commission de toponymie du Québec.
