Brittany Taylor Cameron (born December 3, 1986) is an American soccer goalkeeper. She is currently an associate head soccer coach for women's soccer at Wake Forest University.

Growing Up: Brittany Cameron's Early Life
High School Soccer Star
Brittany Cameron grew up in Dublin, California. She went to Dublin High School. In her senior year, she was the team captain. She earned many awards for her strong defense. These included First Team honors from the Contra Costa Times. She was also named Defensive MVP for her league.
Youth Club Teams
Before college, Brittany played for youth soccer clubs. She played with Dublin High Energy and Pleasanton Rage. These teams helped her develop her skills as a goalkeeper.
University of San Diego Soccer Career
Brittany played goalkeeper for the University of San Diego. In her final year, she was named the West Coast Conference (WCC) Defender of the Year. She was only the second player from her university to earn this award. She recorded nine "shutouts," meaning her team kept the opponent from scoring. Her goals-against average was very low at 0.75.
Brittany Cameron's Professional Club Career
Playing for Los Angeles Sol
In 2009, Brittany Cameron was chosen in the 2009 WPS Draft. She was the 52nd player picked overall. She joined the Los Angeles Sol team.
Joining FC Gold Pride
The Los Angeles Sol team stopped playing in 2010. After this, Brittany Cameron signed with FC Gold Pride.
Western New York Flash Success
In 2011, Cameron signed with the Western New York Flash. Her team won the 2011 WPS Championship. They had an exciting game against the Philadelphia Independence. The game was decided by penalty kicks.
After the WPS league closed in 2012, Cameron signed with the Western New York Flash again. This time, they played in the Women's Premier Soccer League. The team became league champions that same year.
Time with Sky Blue FC
In February 2013, Brittany Cameron was chosen by Sky Blue FC. This happened during the 2013 NWSL Supplemental Draft. It was for the first season of the National Women's Soccer League. In the league's first weekend, she had a shutout against her old team, the Western New York Flash. Because of this, she was named NWSL Player of the Week.
Brittany was also nominated for NWSL Goalkeeper of the Year in the 2015 season.
Playing in Japan: Vegalta Sendai Ladies
In August 2014, Cameron was loaned to Vegalta Sendai Ladies. This team is in Japan. She played the entire 2015 season with Vegalta Sendai. In 2016, she won the MVP award for Vegalta Sendai Ladies.
Brittany Cameron's Coaching Journey
Brittany Cameron has also had a successful coaching career. She worked as an assistant coach at several universities. These include Niagara University, the University of San Diego, and Dartmouth College. From 2019 to 2020, she was the head coach for women's soccer at San Francisco State. Currently, she is the Associate Head Soccer Coach at Wake Forest University. She focuses on defense and goalkeepers.
