Broderick Lee Fobbs (born August 2, 1974) is an American college football coach. He currently works as the running backs coach for the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Before this, he was the main coach, or "head coach," for the Grambling State University football team from 2014 to 2021.

Broderick Fobbs: A Football Coach
Broderick Fobbs has spent many years involved with college football. He started as a player and then moved into coaching. He has worked with several different teams, helping players improve their skills and guiding teams to victory.
Playing College Football
Broderick Fobbs was born in Monroe, Louisiana. He played college football as a running back for the Grambling State Tigers. He was part of the team from 1992 to 1996. Playing for Grambling State was a special experience for him, as it's a well-known team in college football.
Starting His Coaching Career
After his playing days, Broderick Fobbs decided to become a coach. He started as a graduate assistant at Louisiana–Lafayette from 2000 to 2002. A graduate assistant helps the main coaches while also studying.
He then moved to Northwestern State. There, he coached tight ends (TE) from 2003 to 2004. From 2005 to 2006, he became a co-offensive coordinator and coached wide receivers (WR). An offensive coordinator helps plan how the team will score points.
Coaching at Other Universities
Fobbs continued to gain experience at other universities. He coached at McNeese State from 2007 to 2011, again as a co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach. In 2012, he coached wide receivers at Southern Miss. He returned to McNeese State in 2013 to coach tight ends.
Leading the Grambling State Tigers
On December 4, 2013, Broderick Fobbs was chosen to be the head coach of the Grambling State Tigers. This was a big step in his career, as the head coach is in charge of the entire team. He led the Tigers from 2014 to 2021.
Key Achievements at Grambling State
Under Coach Fobbs, the Grambling State Tigers had many successful seasons.
- In 2015, they won their division, the SWAC West Division.
- The 2016 season was especially great! The team had an amazing 12–1 record. They won the SWAC championship and also the black college national championship. This was a huge achievement for the team.
- In 2017, they continued their success, winning another SWAC championship. They finished the season with an 11–2 record.
- Overall, as head coach, Broderick Fobbs led Grambling State to 54 wins and 32 losses. He helped them win three SWAC West Division titles and two SWAC championships.
Current Coaching Role
After his time as head coach at Grambling State, Broderick Fobbs coached running backs at Ruston High School in Louisiana in 2022. Since 2023, he has been the running backs coach for the Louisiana–Monroe Warhawks. In this role, he focuses on training the running backs, who are key players in the team's offense.
