Louis Rogé, known professionally as Brodinski, is a talented French musician, producer, and DJ from Reims. He is famous for mixing different music styles, especially electronic music like techno and hip hop. Brodinski has worked with many famous artists and even started his own record label.

Who is Brodinski?

Brodinski, whose real name is Louis Rogé, is a French artist who creates and plays music. He is known for being a DJ and a producer. This means he plays music for crowds and also helps create songs in the studio. He comes from a city in France called Reims.

Early Days and DJ Journey

Brodinski started getting into music when he was in high school. He loved the art of being a DJ. Some of his biggest inspirations were famous DJs like Damian Lazarus and Andrew Weatherall.

In his hometown of Reims, Brodinski met other electronic music artists, including Yuksek. Together, they made his very first song, "Bad Runner." This song helped Brodinski get noticed and start his career. He began performing as a DJ and created remixes for popular artists like Klaxons.

In 2007, Brodinski joined a big party in Belgium with other famous DJs. He later released an album called Oblivion on a label called Turbo. Soon, he became a regular DJ at big festivals in Paris. He also started touring the world, playing in places like Belgium, England, and Los Angeles. He shared the stage with artists like Erol Alkan.

By the late 2000s, Brodinski became a key figure in the music scene. He was known for easily switching between different music styles, from rap to techno. He also put together a music collection called Best of Everything, which combined rap and techno. With Guillaume Brière from the band The Shoes, he formed a temporary duo called Gucci Vump.

Brodinski was, and still is, a very busy DJ. He was often invited to play at major music festivals around the world. These included Parklife in Melbourne, Lovebox in London, and Sonar in Barcelona.

During one of his many tours, Brodinski met DJ Mehdi. DJ Mehdi became a very important mentor to him. They even hosted a regular music night together called "McFly Tuesday."

Starting His Own Label: Bromance

In 2011, DJ Mehdi sadly passed away. This deeply affected Brodinski. He decided to take a big new step in his career. He launched his own record label called Bromance. He started it with his friends Manu Barron and Guillaume Berg. Brodinski was both the producer and the artistic director of the label.

Bromance was all about Brodinski's vision for music. He wanted to discover new artists without worrying about specific music categories. The label focused on human connections and trusting instincts.

Starting in late 2011, Bromance signed new artists who were leading the way in Parisian electronic music. These included Gesaffelstein and Club Cheval. Bromance also grew internationally, helping new artists from other countries become famous. The label worked with American rapper Danny Brown and Canadian producers Kaytranada and Illangelo.

Working with Big Names

In 2013, the famous artist Kanye West asked Brodinski and Gesaffelstein to help with his new album, Yeezus. The two Bromance artists worked together to produce two songs on the album: "Black Skinhead" and "Send It Up." At the same time, Brodinski continued to work with artists from different countries.

In the studio, he collaborated with New York rapper Theophilus London and Washington rapper Shy Glizzy.

His collaborations and travels to the United States inspired Brodinski to create his first album, Brava. This album was released in early 2015. It showed Brodinski's strong interest in the city of Atlanta and its rap music culture. The album featured collaborations with artists like Bloody Jay and Young Scooter.

The music video for his song "Can't help myself" won a top award at the Berlin Music Video Awards in 2015. The directors, MEGAFORCE, also won an award for "Best Director."

After his first album, Brodinski brought in young French producers like Ikaz Boi and 8tm under the Bromance label. He connected them with American artists. In late 2016 and early 2017, he released two projects: Young Slime Season and Sour Patch Kid. These projects further connected Brodinski to the Atlanta music scene. The second album even featured 21 Savage.

New Adventures in Atlanta

In 2016, Brodinski decided to close his Bromance label. He started splitting his time between Paris and Atlanta. He met many new artists there. He released several projects, including the EP "Brain Disorder" and "The Matrix" with rapper Hoodrich Pablo Juan. He also released "The Graduation," the first EP by Lil Reek, a rapper he discovered in Atlanta. Brodinski then went on a new club tour across North America.

From 2018 to 2020, Brodinski continued to build his presence in Atlanta. He kept working with young artists he believed represented the future of music. His goal was to help new artists shine and shape their sound through his productions.

In 2019, Brodinski produced new songs for rappers like 645AR and Reddo. He then released a project called "Evil World" on a New York label. For this project, he invited many rappers from all over America, including Xanman and Doe Boy. The magazine The Fader described the album's music as "Perfect for a Halloween after party." "Evil World" truly showed Brodinski's unique musical style. During this time, Brodinski also continued to tour clubs across Europe.
