Bronagh Gallagher was born on April 26, 1972. She is a talented singer and actress from Northern Ireland. Bronagh is known for her roles in many movies and TV shows. She started acting in 1989 in a TV movie called Dear Sarah. In 2020, a newspaper called The Irish Times named her one of Ireland's top film actors. She was number 33 on their list!

Early Life and Interests
When Bronagh was a teenager, she loved drama and music. She joined a local acting group called the Oakgrove Theatre Company. She also sang in a band called The Listener from 1989 to 1990. The band practiced in their drummer's garage. Bronagh was a backing singer, helping to make their sound even better.
Acting Career Highlights
Bronagh Gallagher used to be a hairdresser before she became famous. Her big chance came when she played Bernie in the movie The Commitments in 1991. After that, she had a role in the BBC drama You, Me & Marley in 1992.
She also had small parts in some very well-known movies. These include Pulp Fiction (1994) and Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999). Other movies she appeared in are Mary Reilly (1996) and Sherlock Holmes (2009).
Stage Performances
Bronagh has also performed on stage in plays. She was in The Street of Crocodiles with Théâtre de Complicité. She also played Rose Narracott in War Horse at The National Theatre.
Television Roles
On television, Bronagh has played many different characters. She was Trisha Meehan in The Field of Blood. She also appeared as Ada Mason in an episode of Agatha Christie's Poirot. In 2012, she starred in the BBC Three comedy TV series Pramface. More recently, she has been a main cast member in the TV series Brassic since 2019.
Special Recognition
An image of Bronagh Gallagher from The Commitments was even put on an Irish postage stamp! This happened in 1996 as part of a series celebrating Irish cinema. The stamp showed her with her co-stars from the movie.
Music Career
Bronagh is also a talented musician. She released her first album, Precious Soul, in 2004. She wrote most of the songs on this album. She also played the drums and sang the main vocals. Famous musician Brian Eno even helped her with two songs on the album.
She released her second album, Bronagh Gallagher, in 2012. Her third album, Gather Your Greatness, came out in 2016.
