Brookfield Village
Brookfield is a small community within the township. It's called an "unincorporated community" because it doesn't have its own separate local government like a city would. The first settlers, Peter Moe and his sons Ezra and Henry, arrived here in 1837. The area was first known as Moetown. When the township was formed in 1841, the village was renamed Brookfield. It even had its own post office for many years, from 1858 to 1865, and again from 1867 to 1904.
Five Points Corner
Five Points Corner is another named place in the township. It's located south of the city of Charlotte. This spot is special because it's where four different townships meet! These townships are Walton, Brookfield, Eaton, and Carmel.
