Brooks is a small community in Bullitt County, Kentucky, United States. It's known as a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's an area that looks like a town but isn't officially governed as one.
In 2020, about 2,469 people lived in Brooks. This number was very similar to the 2,401 people who lived there in 2010. Brooks also experienced a tornado in 1996.

Where is Brooks Located?
Brooks is found in the northern part of Bullitt County. Its northern edge is right next to the county line, with the big city of Louisville and Jefferson County just to the north.
You can easily get to Brooks from Interstate 65. The eastern side of the community runs along this highway. You can exit at Exit 121, which is the John Harper Highway. Brooks is about 15 miles south of downtown Louisville if you take I-65.

According to the United States Census Bureau, Brooks covers a total area of about 11.7 square kilometers (or 4.5 square miles). Most of this area is land. Only a small part, about 0.08 square kilometers (or 0.03 square miles), is water. This means less than 1% of Brooks is covered by water.
