Career Journey
Early Career with Black Market Records (1993–2002)
In 1993, Kevin Mann signed with Black Market Records. He released his first EP, 24 Deep, that same year. An EP is a shorter music collection than a full album. In 1995, he released his album Season of da Siccness. 24 Deep reached number 91 on Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Season of da Siccness climbed even higher, reaching number 26.
Mann also appeared on several albums from No Limit Records in 1997. These included West Coast Bad Boyz II and I'm Bout It. He wrote and produced all of his parts on these projects.
In 2000, Mann starred in his first and only film, Now Eat. This movie was a horror comedy inspired by his music. An album with the same name was released at the same time as the film.
After his second album, Loaded, Mann had disagreements with the label head, Cedric Singleton. These disagreements were about the rights to his older music. Singleton then released Mann's next album, EBK4, without his full permission. Other artists on the label helped finish some songs. This continued with his album The Virus in 2001. Three compilation albums, Appearances: Book 1, Remains: Book II, and Book III, also followed in 2002.
Joining Strange Music (2009–2013)
In May 2009, Kevin Mann signed a contract with Strange Music. He released three albums with this label. These were Dinner and a Movie (2010), Coathanga Strangla (2011), and Mannibalector (2013). Strange Music offered to extend his contract after his third album. However, Mann decided to return to his own label, Madesicc Musicc.
Independent Music with Madesicc Musicc (2013–Present)
After leaving Strange Music, Mann continued to release music independently. He put out several EPs. An EP is a shorter music collection. In 2017, he released a collaboration album with Ren Da Heatmonsta called Premeditated.
In 2023, Mann released a collection of his best songs titled Choice Kuttz: Da Best of Brotha Lynch Hung. This album marked his return to the hip-hop scene.
