The Story of Brothertown
Brothertown has a long and interesting history. It was first settled by a group of Native Americans called the Brothertown Indians. They named their home Eeyamquittoowauconnuck.
Later, to protect their community and stay in their homes, the Brothertown Indians made a special agreement. This agreement changed their official status with the government. Over time, many German immigrants also came to live in this area.
